In the introduced series “Easy Piano Pieces and Dances”, technically simple, small pieces from the extensive piano works of Josef Suk (1874–1935) now appear. The editor has included 12 compositions from the period 1893-1928 in a varied selection in the album: from playful and light-hearted mood pieces (“Village Serenade” or “Humoresque”), musical gifts for friends (“Album Sheet”, “Liedchen”) to serious and deeply intimate movements from Suk's masterful piano cycles. Advanced beginners can practice their interpretative skills here using subtle expressive means. In the album, Suk's joking greeting "Spanish Ulk" is published for the first time, which he sent to a friend on a postcard from Madrid in 1909, as well as a polka that "musicians often played to Master Dvorák" and that of Suk 30 years later under the title “Polka by Vysoká” was arranged for piano.
