The authors, specialists in fields ranging from anthropology to classics to medicine, have updated this volume to incorporate the latest research and statistics in women's studies, as well as social issues that have become more relevant since the pulication of the previous edition.
The new edition includes the most recent developments for women in politics, labour, family life, religion and culture.
