Tommy Briggs is remembered as a soccer legend in Grimsby and Blackburn. While at Grimsby he scored 35 goals in the 1949-50 season and was top goal scorer in the whole of the Football League. In four successive seasons with Blackburn Rovers he scored over 30 goals each season.
