This volume, originally published in 1975 by The Seabury Press, consists of the papers of the 1974 proceedings of the College Theology Society and presents the reflection of several theologians on the topic of liberation. Most of the essays adopt a highly favorable attitude, but a few are critical and all point out specifications and/or questions which liberation theology must address if it is to remain a central dimension of Christian thought.
