The second edition of this annual directory provides data on important business organizations in: Albania, Baltic Republics, Bulgaria, Commonwealth of Independent States, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Yugoslavia. Special features of the new edition, which make the first edition obsolete, include 550 further major business organizations added to the directory to provide an enlarged total of 2600 organizations; certain business organizations deleted on grounds of non-viability; better quality and accuracy of data, in many cases taken directly from the organizations themselves; more financial data provided; the former USSR section now reorganized into a new Commonwealth of Independent States section; new section for the newly formed Baltic Republics; changes in names, facts and figures have been made to the data presented in last year's edition. Organizations covered include manufacturers, services, trading organizations, financial institutions, Chambers of Commerce and ministeries with which Western businessmen may have to deal. Data provided also included: name of organization, phone, fax, telex, names and job titles of senior management; description of business products for import/export; parent; subsidiaries; bankers; numbers of employees and financial information. For ministeries and Chambers of Commerce, their principal responsibilities are summarized and the names of key officials given.
