In 1931, two years before the end of Prohibition and two years after the beginning of the Great Depression, fate decided to test the perseverance and loyalty of four distinct organized crime gangs in Manhattan, New York. Based on true historical events, namely the Castellammarese War (1930-1931) and the fourth Tong War (1925-1933), as well as being inspired by real life crimes, criminals and neighborhoods during this period, the game aims to put players in a proverbial pressure cooker where every gang must prove themselves worthy by controlling various rackets in the borough. The game takes one hour to play and can be played with two to four players. It offers four different ethnic gangs to choose from, each possessing unique abilities that will prove to be useful in different situations. The piquancy of violence and fashion of the Italian gang, crafty but brutal exploits of the Chinese gang, calculating and fierce opposition of the Irish gang, and the discrete but extraordinarily self-sufficient management of the African American gang.
