In Junior English Writing the authors' aim to see that students have a chance to use in more creative and sustained writing the language habits acquired in 'language lessons'. By way of initial practice in more controlled speaking and writing, students are encouraged to express their own thoughts and reactions. There is plenty of scope for group activities, and the authors use pictures as well as words to set the imagination working and stimulate discussion.
