This third edition is endowed with some new features which other books in the market on engineering graphics lack. The fourth chapter now includes a systematic method of dividing a circular arc into equal number of parts ingeniously developed by one of the authors. Prior to this technique, only trial and error method using a divider was available. The methods of enlarging and reducing the drawings, and rectification of arc have also been added into this chapter. Some of the projection systems not given in the second edition have been included in the sixth chapter of this edition. A special feature of this book is Projection on auxiliary Planes given in the new eighth chapter. This chapter explains all the intricate aspects of projection on auxiliary planes not discussed so exhaustively in the available texts. Alternate methods of solution of problems at some places for better understanding of the subject is a special feature of this edition.
